The North Face Lodge

It was a great place. The balcony was great, and having kitchen space was nice.

No air-conditioning. It took a little longer to cool down when we'd come in the evening. Otherwise perfect.

The room was lovely and comfortable, with plenty of space to relax and store our luggage. The owners were easily available and proactive. Shower water was plentiful, Parking is sufficient. The shared balcony shows a lovely view and there is a deck and 2 fire pits for gathering. Those are all the amenities.

I was surprised that there although it is called the North Face Lodge, there was no lodge or lobby, just the row of rooms. The driveway up to the rooms is a little like off-roading.

Everything. Beautiful room. Great location with a great view. Super nice owners.

A little tricky getting up the main driveway. There is a back entrance if you're like me and keep spinning out.

Liked our room (Aspen). Large comfortable room with mountain furnishings including an 4 poster bed. Enjoyed the gorgeous mountain view from the deck off the room. Shower was nice and good water pressure. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The driveway to the hotel was a bit steep and parking was a bit tight but doable.

The room had plenty of places to set luggage. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. There was no noise from the attached rooms. There was plenty of outdoor seating. The owner was very easy to communicate with. The lodge was within walking distance of restaurants and the visitors center.

Since this is an accommodation just outside a very small town tucked between mountains, I was hoping the night sky would be spectacular from this location. Unfortunately the outdoor light fixtures were bare blue bulbs surrounded by clear glass...blinding. Kindly, the owner told me she would look into how to make the sky-viewing area dark while maintaining some safety lighting for those walking on the deck. If this is done, North Face Lodge will be the perfect place to stay to enjoy the night sky as well as all the daytime activities the area has to offer.

If you choose to stay at North Face you will be glad you did! Rooms were clean bed was comfortable, water was hot, soft towels and plenty of pillows! The owners are so nice and the deck is phenomenal! Do yourself a favor and book your next stay at North Face Lodge! It won't let me add photos for some reason but it was beautiful!
