Private Historic Inn Downtown Newport

Great location.

No longer a bed and breakfast. Now it's a low quality Airbnb. New ownership is cold, impersonal, and unprofessional - they don't pick up the phone when you need help and talk like you're bothering them. Beware of the bugs.

The size of the room/suite was perfect. The bed was comfortable and we didn't feel at all cramped. Proximity and walking distance was also great.

This was listed as a bed and breakfast. There was no breakfast. The check-in process was also sorely lacking. Matt was helpful when I called and texted me the information I needed; however, the link with booking.com was not working and it was very difficult to figure out how to contact anyone because some of the numbers were no longer in service.

Property was charming and very clean

Breakfast was promised but not delivered. It appears we received a discount by were never told by to expect it. Had to leave for early college graduation and missed breakfast. Communication is the key to success!

The property was spacious and clean. It has an excellent location. It was bright and airy.

Booking.com said that breakfast was provided. It was not. Additionally, the mini refrigerator said it provided milk and juice, but it did not. It said I would be responsible for removing glass containers, but there were no containers, so I should not be responsible for additional fees. I expected that breakfast was a meal I did not have to plan or pay additionally for 2 mornings. I had to find breakfast accommodations on the fly, which was inconvenient, so that was very disappointing.

Fridge only had water, maybe stock with more? Coffee and tea facilities were great.

at arrival the doors were locked and come to find out the place sold a few days before our stay. finally got in touch with someone and they gave the code to get in.. there was no staff there and no one else.. got into the room and then went to dinner. it was stated there was a parking pass and if lost it would be an extra 450.00 let them know that there was no parking pass and walked to a restaurant… came back and the code on the door did not work so called again and he said he be right over to check it out never came to check on the door after 3 hours waiting we got our stuff from the room and told him we are leaving and want our money back… have all the text messages for proof…. do not book this place you will be sorry…

everything it was a horrible experience

Great location and comfortable room. Great jet tub.

Karen was wonderful and gave us a wonderful history of the house! Everything was perfect!
