Gamble Mill

A beautiful converted old mill in a charming town, right next to a creek with a walking path. The room was lovely with a nice little mini kitchen and all the amenities you'd expect in a good hotel. Highly recommended.

This is more of an Airbnb vibe - lockbox to open your room, and as far as I can tell there's no staff on site. While I didn't have any problems, if you're the kind of person who likes to have someone to talk to if you have questions or to resolve issues, this might not be for you.

The space we booked (Thomas Suite) was so gorgeous and comfortable. Our family of 4 wanted to stay longer! Slept well in the comfortable beds and enjoyed our time in the living space in between activities.

We didn’t mind, but long stays with heavy bags could be challenging because of the many stairs!!

Wish there was a restaurant open at the mill

Really unique and lovely property nestled in Bellefonte. I needed a place to stay while dropping my daughter at PSU. I thought it was convenient and well priced. Thank you!

No breakfast

The beds were thick memory foam which trapped the sleeper and the sleeper was uncomfortable and hot.

Super great location. Everything in walking distance. The room was super clean, recently renovated and it’s modern interior style blended well with the mills’ historic soul. The coffee machine with free coffee pods made the next morning a relaxing one. Although room prices are high during popular times, we got a more reasonable deal by staying at the tale end of a busy weekend.

One thing I wished had been better are the pillows. They are super thick and stiff and my neck hurt from trying to sleep on them. Sleeping without one also did not go well, so I ended up feeling less rested then hoped. I think perhaps providing an additional set of softer pillows would help by providing guests an option for different sleeping needs/preferences.
