"It was OK. We would probably stay there again."

Breakfast fine. Location good. This survey keeps growing.

The bathroom has only the toilet water box lid for storage. We had toiletries on the floor. I suppose at 87 and 90yrs we could consider it an exercise. Also nowhere to hang anything.

"Poor quality but clean"

Clean and comfortable bed

Dreadful breakfast, very poor quality ingredients and very limited selection. The shower was too hot to use and there was no adjustment for the temperature.

"Disappointing stay- but normally really decent"

Large rooms.

We are regular guests here felt the staff member was not friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was not up to the usual standard.

"Functional place to stay within easy reach of the town centre and the river."

Satisfactorily but could be improved it it catered for those not wanting a cooked breakfast.

The internal layout reminded us of hostels that we used when we were much younger, lots of little corridors.

"Comfy bed"

Bed was comfy. Room was clean. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order.

There was a fusty smell about the hotel. Dining room was very hot. Sausage lacked flavour.

"Somewhat disappointing - place needs updating."

Hotel was comfortably warm. It was quiet, but we seemed to be the only residents most of the time. Bed comfortable.

A self service cereals and perhaps a little fresh fruit/yoghurt would have been nice, along with a toaster. We had to ask for everything. Cooked breakfast was OK but ingredients not good quality Staff not rude but a little offhand.

the breakfast was ok and the lady serving was pleasant enough. thats it. that is the only thing i liked about it and I have stayed in some basic places around the world, this place shouldnt be allowed to operate.

everything. the bed was broken, the room had dead flies in it, the shared bathroom was worse than student accommodation. it was all just a bit grim. my poor daughter was equally traumatized by the amount of spiders hanging about.

Comfortable room, friendly staff good price

The only thing to mention was that I was the only guest, but since they gave me a great room upgrade I can't complain. It's a quiet season!
