Posada Hacienda Real

This was a fantastic place to stay. First of all , the house is beautiful and cozy, and has the most comfortable beds I've had. The staff was extremely kind, attentive and their service was exceptional. I am from Peru, but I'd go to tepoztlan just to go there again and eat their amazing sopes (the best sopes in Mexico, by far!!). Delicious breakfast. Thank you so much for the hospitality, the amazing food and being so kind with us!

I'm a comfortable bed junkie, so when I look for a hotel I focus on comments about that. I also look at pictures of beds, and I was hopeful about Hacienda Real. I was not disappointed. The beds were very comfortable, and I slept great! Also, the hotel is located just far away enough from the centro so as to be quiet, but it's an easy (uphill) walk to get there. There are some very good restaurants nearby, but I was so full from the delicious free breakfast of fruits, yoghurt, "sopes" and more that I didn't eat out as much as I normally would. Alejandro es ley! He's the owner and is beyond helpful, offering rides if you don't feel like walking, solving any issue etc. It's a small hotel, maybe 8 rooms, in all. The view was great from my room (king size bed with a small balcony). I can't say enough... I'd live there if I could.

Great stay! the staff was so kind and went above and beyond! Excellent breakfast.

the owner/manager (?) was so nice and went out of his way to make our short stay in Tepoztlán perfect. He drove us to our early morning climb and then again to the bus station the next morning. The evening coffee when we arrived was such a pleasant way to start. And he washed our laundry!! I just can’t say enough good things about his warm smile and attitude and patience with my poor Spanish. If you stay there, you can go a couple of blocks away to the restaurant, Nixte. Yum! You are near things but you are at the bottom of the hill so you should be aware.
