The Crown Inn Hotel

Tenía estacionamiento propio, que era conveniente. La cama era pequeña pero cómoda.

El lugar además de hotel es restaurante, no hay problema con eso. El problema es que había demasiado ruido. Trabajé todo el día. Quería descansar y solo hasta la media noche al fin logré sentir que había silencio. En el baño me dejaron un vaso para tomar agua. Estaba sucio 🫣🫣 pegajoso. No siento que haya sido revisado bien el tema de limpieza

Lovely breakfast and dinner. All cooked to order and well presented and served.

Our room, which was outside from the hotel was spacious and well equipped in terms of tea and coffee and bathroom toiletries and fresh towels. Unfortunately the shower room needed a deep clean and refurb.

The staff were very welcoming,and was a lovely market town setting,also the breakfast was delicious

The room was not very clean,few cobwebs,also the shower was very dated,doors to cubicle barely holding together,and having a rain shower caused water all over bathroom floor as doors wouldn’t slide over to close

I just had a one night stay, but everything was very good. Great welcome from the staff and food was also very good.

On approaching this tired old building it is clear that it is in need of more than just a make over. Sadly, in these current times, finding monies beyond day to day commitments is very challenging. On that basis let’s support a small local business and commit to the booking (anything to avoid a Travel Lodge, even with a reviewed key policy)… in we go. Oh dear, bar person/receptionist is not the most talkative chap, so no small talk….. ‘welcome to the Crown’, ‘have you travelled far?’ ‘hope you enjoy your stay with us’…No it’s strictly business, key and payment. Bar/reception person (didn’t get his name) shows us to our room, entry established….still no small talk. First glance, nice white bedding but the room is dated and tired. First mission….a pee, OMG! I’m being observed by the pedestrians on Hall Street. With a degree of dexterity, I manage to draw the blind and restore my dignity. Ok, I can’t lie, I have been known to ‘sticky tape test’ a hotel carpet, and it can be a good indicator as to footwear choice. Well I have no sticky tape but my critical eye is zeroing in on some very basic housekeeping lapses. Other than the badly scaled kettle and downward pointing wobbly loo-roll holder, the photos say it all. Come on guys this is 2026, a world full of Alex Polizzi and Four In A Bed. Did I mention bed? I resisted exploring under there, the fear of hidden beasties lying in wait was too overwhelming. The morning brought a hurried escape, delayed only by the ten minute wait for hot water and sloooow draining sink. We gave breakfast a miss. £120 rip off.
