Great location

Very uneven floor in bedroom. Very noisy / squeaky floor in bedroom

Massive ‘Thank you ‘ to Will, Julie and Jo… for their charming service on Mothering Sunday 2026! They had a full restaurant,& other parts of the hotel were also in use… I saw pretty much all staff members working their hardest, to ensure ‘The Mothers’ and their guests got streamlined treatment. The food was tasty! Thank you chefs/ back of house too… de-lish! The atmosphere was sublime ( there was a lady, playing the piano!!) And the Bull Hotel itself, is K-O! ( knock out) I was greeted by 2 ladies on reception who were warm and friendly… Greene King… this was a WIN - thank you team … to ALL the team, who served today, so we, the public, could treat our Mums xx ( From Tor x)

Excellent location, lovely historic Inn. The staff were exceptional and very friendly. Very comfortable. clean room, Good bed and bedding. Excellent and plentiful breakfast. Look forward to our next visit.

Bathroom in need of a little TLC but very useable. I found the room and public areas to be far too hot but it is of course personal taste.

Lovely old hotel with lots of character and charm. We stayed in the Melford Suite, which had lovely beams, it's own seating area, with sofa, a lovely large bed, which was very comfortable and clean and a bath in the ensuite, with shower over. Also teas/coffee/hot chocolate and bottled water provided in the room, which were replenished as necessary. Everything was clean and tidy. Good size wardrobe for clothe storage. An iron, ironing board and hairdryer also provided. There are steps from seating area to bed area and low beams, so something to bear in mind for people with walking difficulties/ disabilities! Friendly and helpful room service staff, bar staff and reception staff. Excellent breakfast choice, both for continental and cooked choices. Nice sized and characterful dining area with beams and large fireplace. We ate on our first night at the hotel and our meals were good, although it was order at the bar, type of service, for the first course, rather than waiter style service. I'm vegetarian , so pleased to see at least two choices on the menu. Hotel situated at the beginning of the main street of Long Melford and within easy reach of all the shops and other pubs/hotels. This is a very long main street, which we had no problem with, but again, anybody with walking disabilities, might find it more difficult. Overall, a very enjoyable stay! Thank you!

The hotel carpark to the rear was fairly small, although additional parking at the front of hotel on the main road, but appears other people visiting the town and not necessarily the hotel, were using this area, to park. On our arrival the front carpark was full and we just about managed to get into the rear carpark. As people hadn't parked considerately within the lines, one space was too narrow to get into. Also, on our second day of our trip, we went out for the day and on our return, were unable to park in the rear carpark, due to about 8 large vans parked there( believed occupants were having a meeting there) and the front carpark was also full.

Pillows very hard. Bathroom shabby but serviceable.

Such a lovely hotel that we have stayed at several times previously. Amazing reasonably priced food and drinks, lovely friendly staff and a great high street outside the door to explore. Will be back!

Melford suite is on a slope all the blood rushed to my head didnt sleep much if your having a drink beware i know its an old building but wasnt a good room went to check out and woman at reception eatin and on phone didnt even ask if all was ok wont return here
