Freindly, cosy, good food and service

The staff were brilliant at making us welcome and looking after us. Nothing was too much trouble and we particularly would like to thank John. We enjoyed a good meal, again with great service. Our only slight critisism would be that the room, whilst spacious and clean, could do with a bit of tidying up regarding the decor.

The room was clean and comfortable with a powerful shower. Very good breakfast offering.The staff are friendly and welcoming.Overall very good value for money.

The bathroom extractor fan did not work. Most disappointed that only breakfast was available in the restaurant.The bar was used for evening time this should have been made clearer as it is advertised as a restaurant, we ate elsewhere in Long Melford as we wanted table service.

Fruit offered good selection of juices and tea and coffee.

Quality of the sausages poor, eggs very small and poached eggs were hard. The portion size of all food experienced was smaller than expected however price was cheaper.

It was a great hotel, great service. nice location, quiet comfy rooms, would go there again for sure.

They really need to fix the shower in the bathroom I had to use all the towels to dry the floor, shower hose was secured facing shower curtain that was on the short side.
