Property adverised as to pay at the property but they called me and asked a payment in advance. If they want a payment they should not advertise as pay at the property.

Parking facilities to be improved

The family was amazing and the vibe was really good. They've built it up very good. They maintain the rooms like they would in a luxury hotel.

Homemade food, amazing family

Great communication with Ruka prior to our arrival - he speaks, and writes, excellent English. We had to change our dates due to illness and he was extremely helpful and understanding with all of this. Comfortable accommodation with lovely views. Delicious breakfast included, and dinner available with a couple of hours notice. Location is high up on a hill but easy to get tuk tuks if required. Ruka and his family are exceptionally warm and welcoming and eager to help you with any aspect of your stay. He had originally arranged for us to take the train to Ella and return by car; however my daughter was not well enough so instead he took us on a 4 hour drive to the west of the town with amazing views of waterfalls and tea plantations - just so beautiful and relaxing! He also arranged our onward travel (car and driver) to Kandy with a couple of stops en route. We really appreciated his friendliness and flexibility, and highly recommend staying at Travellers Rest.

Wifi was patchy on the top (2nd) floor but fine on ground and first floors, both of which have comfortable sitting areas.

Hôtel en gestion par une famille très gentille, très serviable. Emplacement en hauteur ce qui permet une vue magnifique sur la ville et les alentours, notamment au moment du petit déjeuner.

Hôtel qui n'est pas forcément bien isolé au niveau du bruit. Un petit rafraichissement des chambres ne ferait pas de mal

Stayed here one night only with my kids (8 & 11), what a nice, calm place! We loved the view, friendliness of the staff and brealkfast was generous! It's a family business and they were all very nice & kind to us. Great value for money!
