Guests should follow signs for deliveries to bring them into the city center at the top of New Street/Sadler Street. Please note, all the rooms are accessible by one or more flight of stairs. Due to the age and layout of the building there is no elevator. Pets are only allowed in the standard double and twin rooms, subject to availability and by prior arrangement. Guests traveling with children are requested to note the age and number of children traveling, using the Special Requests box. . There is limited parking for small and medium cars onlyPlease inform of your expected arrival time in advance. "Living in the past but not in a good way"

Characterful exterior, nice, friendly staff, bistro food was nice, breakfast was ok

Room was expensive and stuck firmly in the 80s with loose carpeting and dated, mismatched, but not tasteful furniture. I understand it's a really old building but the place is clearly living from Hot Fuzz recognition without putting any investment into the accommodation. It was really over priced and whilst not uncomfortable it was not a pleasant stay!! Really disappointed.

The location was good.

To be honest I didn't feel really comfortable there The whole place needs a revamp, I know it's very old but could have been updated in the rooms. It was very noisy above the bar, everything creaked and doors were being slammed so difficult to sleep. Although there was an award for breakfast I don't think croissants are a good description of continental breakfast. I had the full English breakfast which was ok.
