Inn on the Harbour and Telegraph House

We stayed in the telegraph house. We love its history. The room is also spacious. The patio is very nice.

The location was beautiful. Our room was overlooking the harbour and the view was amazing. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a big jacuzzi tub in it, as well as a fireplace.

Breakfast was very good - lots to choose from. Great location for the theatre, shopping and dining.

The location was excellent. Free parking. Close to restaurants and a great patio overlooking the water and walking path. Outside, the hotel looks nicer than the inside.

The room was a bit worn and dated. Just little things that could have been upgraded. The screen door was ripped, and the room was nothing special or particularly nice. I wondered if their rooms across the street may have been nicer but without the nice location on the water?

This time nothing.

When we booked we requested a room with view of harbour. But when we arrived to do check in we were assigned a room in Telegraph House, ACROSS the street. No view of any water. Very disappointed as it was our 35 th Anniversary. Not wanting to slam the Inn, the Manager was at least nice enough to cancel our reservation at no cost. I think she recognized the mistake. We hope this won’t happen again, as we have stayed there numerous times since our first time (20th Anniversary) we ended up having nice meal at Riva Restaurant and then drove an hour+ home.

We love the Inn; the place and people are wonderful and we can't wait to come back.
