Bedding was nice. Shower was lovely. Food was good for dinner and the chef was very friendly.

I was extremely disappointed on arrival and very much disliked my stay. We had just arrived and we had to answer many questions about breakfast. Not sure why anyone would need to know which cereal you want in advance. We were then informed that we were unable to leave the room between 10.30pm and 7.30am as the pub was closed. It might be ok for some people but not us and I was angry that this wasn't made very clear when booking. Given the choice I would have left then and there. Service at the bar was shocking, we waited a long time for drinks, everytime. Breakfast was disappointing. Cooked breakfast was ok, continental not so much. Given a tiny bit of orange juice and felt awkward to have more. Coffee was vile. Oddly, we were also asked to leave our keys to the rooms by the kitchen door. This was apparently for fire safety but I thought it was a risk to property since the keys were accessible to anyone and the toilets are on the way to the open door to rooms. The road was very noisy until late due to the surrounding farms. The rooms were clean and facilities fine but I felt it was extremely overpriced for what you get.

Cosy, clean bedroom with en-suite. The staff was friendly and kindly waited for our late evening arrival. Good breakfast, and convenient parking available.
