Nags Head

The breakfast was good. The staff really friendly and helpful. Nice country pub feel.

The room was a bit tired .

Comfortable bed. Very good breakfast.

The hairdryer was in a very awkward position and nowhere near a mirror. It could only be used by kneeling on the floor. There was no plug in the bathroom sink. The TV remote didn't work properly.

Location and parking

No hot water on both mornings. Beams far too much dust. Bed slats hang over one side of bed making it easy to hit legs.

Did not get the room booking.com said we had. It was above the pub bar. Awe couldn't sleep because the noise in the bar was so loud.. people laughing and very loud speaking. It went on until after midnight. They said the pub was quiet at the present time. It was the only room left available. So we didn't have a choice but to take it or be stranded. We were expecting a quiet room overlooking over the back. As that is what booking.com said we had. So it was booking.com fault.

Room spacious and interestingly adorned. Restaurant - good service and food.

Bath and sink plugs didn't seal meaning water leaked out. Shower cold/like warm. Breakfast good but pricing not transparent. Tea/orange juice all extra and seemed a bit expensive

Broken headboard, radiator not working and noisy traffic

Lovely old country inn. Pleasant staff. Bed linen and towels well laundered. A good price but would rather pay a bit more to have a better clean.

Very tired decor and our room was roadside which was noisy at times. Take your earbuds. Shower needs a lot of attention, grubby grout, mucky inside and out of base edge, very dirty shower trap which meant the water didn’t drain ( I left it all taken apart to show the need for a good clean). No basin plunger if you needed water in the sink. I think it may have been staff getting up at 5.30am above our room 4 and the floor boards are very noisy.
