Cute, historic room

You can hear EVERYTHING. Live music played downstairs until around midnight, people talking out front until around 2am, people in creaky beds next door. And the shower water temperature mixer was broken so the water never got hot.

Comfort & convenient

Everything from the comfortable home feel to the upgraded lighting and showers. Love the cafe, bar, location to Talley Ho and other shops. The staff is always so welcoming and friendly. Also love the 12pm checkout and free parking deck on weekends.

The staff was great

It was very confusing on where to park The bedroom was right over a bar that was playing very loud music till 2 am. I got up at 1:30 am. I was planning to check out after a shower And came back in the room to the music being off. I finally fell asleep at 3am. Woke up to garbage men banging cans all up and down the street at 6 am

The location was fantastic for walking to the Tally Ho venue!

The hotel is above a restaurant and also a bar. The walls and doors are very thin. You can hear everything below, above, and around in every direction! Neighbor’s bathroom fan on and off throughout the night, conversations in other rooms and from the street, bar clatter, and pretty much anything else going on around. Additionally, check in and out were confusing as there is no front door to or front desk for the hotel itself. We wandered a bit, trying to figure out where we were supposed to go. An older gentleman,eating his dinner at the restaurant, spotted us (looking confused, no doubt) and offered to help us check in. He then went to the bar to get a hotel staff member for us. We were given keys, we were charged for the room, and we were given instructions on how to get back into the hotel if it was after 2 a.m. and the bar was closed. No problem!Great! Fast forward to trying to check out. Prior to leaving in the morning, we wanted to shower. The shower would not turn on- when we’d maneuver the faucet, the tiniest stream of water came out but that was it…No shower, I guess. We got dressed and went to check out. After the waiter at the restaurant below cleared the table his customer just left from, he took our room key and checked us out. We wanted to advise him of the shower not working in our room, to which he replied “Yes it does work. You’re just not doing it right. You have to pull it out first. I can show you how if you want.” No thanks, buddy. We just want to get out of here at this point. Overall: If you’re looking for something close to a venue and you’re not concerned about much else- Go for it! Our room was clean and it was nice to not have to worry about driving and parking! Just be sure to bring your ear plugs! I can’t guarantee working plumbing but I will keep my fingers crossed for you!
