Room was really small but sufficient for a short stay. We were off the main street so the noise was fine.

Although the TAKA rate is 1 usd to 109 Taka they insist to exchange at 120 = adding 10%. This is a violation of the Booking.com rules - you can not rely on the amount quoted

They didn’t pick us up at the airport as we had arranged. In addition, they cheated on the billing and charged an extra 10% over Booking.com and said they would not charge the credit card in US dollars as stipulated. They used an exchange rate of 120 to the dollar instead of the national exchange rate of 109. It left a bad taste in my mouth.

The food in the restaurant, the restaurant staff in the bar staff. Rooms were nice.

They would not charge the credit card in US dollars as stipulated on our Booking.com confirmation. Instead, they charged at least 10% by using an inflated taka rate. The taka was 109 to the US dollar but they use US dollars times 1.2 so it wound up costing at least $40 more. I read articles that that is not allowed in the country but who’s to catch them? Ask before you get caught as I did. when I confronted them, they offered to take us to the airport for free the next day, but then included that in the bill as well and marked it up. It left a bad taste in my mouth.
