Hotel was in a renovation process, no breakfast and no curtains in front of the windows.

It was above OK

It was quite adequate

Girl on the bar was very welcoming and polite and tried to resolve a few issues I had with the room, The room was big , the hot water from the shower and tap worked,

Cleaner left dirty Laundry from the previous night lon the desk , tv didn’t work at all and the worst considering the weather we were having which was freezing temperatures, the room was freezing and the radiator never came on at all from when I arrived at 6.30 the night before till I left at 7.30 the next day , I slept in clothes to stay warm , I thought it was the radiator in my room but the ones on the landing were all off too and all set to maximum on the valve , I had booked for two nights but I left and went somewhere else the next night , I couldn’t take the risk of being cold in minus temperatures outside , reference the room why doesn’t anyone check to make sure everything is clean and working , Apparently they had had a temporary cleaner who wasn’t the best !!!!!! There was two 2 pence pieces on the window shelf and the bed had been made but it was creased like someone had sat on it afterwards , for £65 it was shocking , there’s pictures of food on there site but when I got there the girl said we don’t do food you’ve got to go down the road to another pub…. The girl said help yourself to breakfast but there wasn’t enough milk. To have any of the cereals on the table. In the bathroom there were broken runners from the bottom of the shower door left on the shelf above the sink, I threw them in the bin , like I said it would take two minutes, if I run a hotel etc go and CHECK the rooms before you let them out .

The location , the bathroom , the comfortable bed & the quirkyness of the room . It felt like we were staying in a stateley home!
