Very dated and not so clean

Best location in all of Montezuma. Could hear the waves on the rocks at night. Loved it!

We had a close up view of the ocean right outside our door and could hear it's song all night long. It was quite hot during our stay so the AC was soooo appreciated. We were greeted by a lovely cat in the morning. Everything in town is a very short walk away.

For those who want to be right on the beach at an affordable price, and who like the lively autonomous ease of being able to walk to town, supermarkets, and getting to know the local cafés, this place is a dream. We stayed 2 weeks. The owner Nury was very responsive, the manager Victor the same (helpful to speak Spanish) and my kids felt it was the best vacation we had ever had. (older teens). You are walking distance from bus stop and taxi stand— local prices exist, as there is a dual economy. Bring colones or dollars. Note that there is a bar next-door, but it has a kind of friendly family vibe. There is a village feeling to Montezuma— note that though we do not drink, there are cheerful safe older men drinking at all hours nearby, but there is a 24-hour property guard, shared area with hammocks, bbq, sink, outdoor shower, It is true that there can be music late at night, so I recommend bringing a sound machine and earplugs. But it is really a wonderful place, and I recommend being in touch with the owner and facilities manager if you have any issue. We would come back here in a heartbeat; we stayed in room 6 (quiet, protected, shared kitchen) and the apartment (louder but self-enclosed), each with own bathroom. We really felt the owner went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Your room can be cleaned daily if you wish. Have a great time here!
