Wonderful double room with an extremely comfortable bed and luxurious duvet and pillows. Continental breakfast with choice of sandwich freshly made and delivered. Plenty of tea and coffee and a fridge to keep milk, orange juice and water. Fabulous historic building with a top-notch Italian restaurant and bar below, which closes at 10pm (so no noise after closing). Keys to access building when restaurant closed means guests can exit and enter at any time. The food in the restaurant is fabulous, authentic Italian and all staff were brilliant. I loved it here and would definitely stay again if I was back in the area

What a super place. I stayed here with my Mum (89) whilst visiting family and friends. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, explained the facilities and format for breakfast. We didn't need to but I'm sure if we needed anything specific they would be only too happy to help. We had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious. Mum really wanted a steak and asked for medium rare. Sadly it was a bit tough and unfortunately we had to send it back, however the waiter could not be more professional and helpful and it was no trouble for them to cook another which was perfect. I was so grateful. I had sea bass which was beautiful. Lovely food, wine and ambience. To top it off, the village is so quiet so even with the windows wide open it made for a good night's sleep!! Thank you all at The Angel Inn. We will return.

If there was one teeny critisism, it would be that there was no plug socket near the mirror in room 6, so even though a hairdryer was provided, you couldn't look in the mirror while styling your hair! Minor flaw!!
