Breafast excellent - tea, toast, orange juice and Northumbrian mixed grill each morning. Wide menu for dinner. First night selection of their famous pies, big, superb. Second night could only manage a 'starter' fish platter. Bass on draught. Staff friendly, attentive

It's an old building with some steps up and down upstairs. My legs are not too good - I need a stick - and I would like to have seen some safety markings on the edges of these steps to identify their posittions along the longish corridor to the bedrooms.

Lovely. Stay, the room was clean the bed was comfy the staff were first class the food was excellent. Can honestly say it was brilliant and would definitely recommend. We would certainly book here again. Thank you

Everything about our stay was 1st class. The staff were professional, efficient and friendly. The room was very large clean and comfortable. The bed was huge and comfy. The food at dinner was absolutely amazing as was the breakfast. We would highly recommend it here.

Basin in bathroom very small with tap hindering use. Mattress rather hard.
