"A quiet night in Northumberland"

I cant really say there was alot wrong with the Anchor. Accommodation was excellent value for money including breakfast. We booked a luxury double overlooking the front of the Inn. Large window with bench whilst sipping a glass of red. Dinner was really good and huge portions. Which was a little too much for us as we have small appetites. But great value if you can eat alot. I had one of their homemade pies. (Chicken & black pepper) whilst my wife had the fish/chips. Couldn't manage a desert unfortunately! Loads of parking and all free!

Fantastic bar and restaurant with stunning views over the north pennines. Large very clean and comfortable room. Restaurant served delicious food cooked perfectly. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Really can’t say enough about my stay. I will definitely be back
