Hotel Ottenstein - Das Wohlfühlhotel

Sehr gutes Frügstück, schöne kleine Saunaanlage, großes Pool, sehr ruhige Lage

Umgebung war schön und erholsam

Viel zu teuer und Hotel hat nichts mit Wohfühlhotel zu tun. Im Außenpool schwamm die ganze Zeit der Saugrobotor und war im Weg. Das Abendessen für den Preis war total überzogen und der Kellner unfreundlich.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. The new rooms are in separate buildings on a large meadow. If your balcony faces the road, you won't have much privacy. However, we were almost at the end of the buildings, so we were in a really calm location. The room was small but cozy. The pool and sauna were nice, though a bit older. A nice surprise was the breakfast and dinner. In both cases, there was a buffet, so you could pick whatever you wanted. For dinner, there were three main dishes, plenty of salads, a dessert option (including ice cream), and a vegetarian option. It was really great. It's certainly not high cuisine, but the "pub" meals were really good: schnitzel, beef, etc. It was really great value for the price.

As mentioned, some of the balconies are next to the road, so there's really no privacy. That's unfortunate if you have a hot tub on your balcony, for instance. Though that wasn't the case for us. I also feel that the closing time of the wellness area at 8 pm is quite limiting. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so after dinner, you can have a beer or cocktail, and then there's nothing to do except read or watch TV. This is true for most people. You're on a balcony, listening to other TVs. It would be reasonable to extend the closing time to at least 9 or 10 pm.
