Seaside Inn

We had to cancel our reservation for health reasons ten days before the date we were to check in. I never saw the option for trip insurance and the manager said the policy is not to refund the fully paid reservation. I understand this is a seasonal business but I am thoroughly offended that there was no consideration that this was for health reasons and not just a whimsical. So if you reserve be ready to pay ten Percent more for insurance.

Location was good, on Maine coast.

There was no one at reception which I had been told was the case, but then there was confusion about our room and the telephone number for hotel was not answered and the telephone number on display at reception desk to call if needed help also didn’t reach a person. We almost couldn’t find our room. I booked seaside inn and paid hundreds of dollars for a room but was put in a rundown building across the way, in the room in the attic which was the hottest room, this when there is no air conditioning. Bathroom very subpar. For what it was, the price should be 100$ at most.

It was very coastal, loved the barn next door for drinks

It was nice to have coffee in the room but it was not very good.

Lovely historic building. Very well maintained building.

WAAAY overpriced for what was offered. Primitive single bathroom shared with multiple rooms. P Inadequate parking. Zero amenities for an outrageous price. Top floor rooms need window fans. LOTS of rules and restrictions. Nobody answers phone and messages are not returned. Impression: They're doing you a favor by letting you stay there and overcharging.

No breakfast but was not anticipated.

Advised desk reformatory did not work . Non chalantly said I could use her Mothers who lived on the 1 stfl. I was on the 3rd. No offer to help move items or introduce me to her Mother. Should have had a spare or general use refrigerator.

An absolute great find! Room was beautiful. The shared bathroom was perfectly clean. The location is wonderful if you want to catch the ferry. And the town itself is so cute. There’s a great coffee shop and food truck just across the street and the cutest little bar right next door. And very dog friendly! They even left a special treat for him!

Nice location and the room was sufficient for our needs - the LLBean flannel sheets were a nice touch !

Didn’t realize the bathroom had no enclosure from the bedroom - pictures did not reveal this about the room and made for a somewhat awkward feel to the space

We were placed in the third floor, walk up, sharing a bathroom with two other occupied rooms when the rest of the inn was not occupied, upon arrival we had requested a better room and were told we had paid for only the room she was giving us which was $247 considering the tragic fire across the street a week earlier it was not a good place to put people in a fire trap feeling third-floor location, considering the circumstances, the door on our room number 10 was very hard to even open. It was a bad nights sleep with all the activity using the bathroom which could’ve been much nicer for everyone if they had spread us out around the underused facility. We are both 70 years old, and did not appreciate, having to go up two flights of stairs, when there are other rooms available at the lower levels, and were concerned because of the fire across the street of the week prior this third floor was not a good place to be.
