"Very good"

8.0

We had a nice stay at Seaside Inn! It's in an old house, which has been divided up into separate rooms very thoughtfully. The location is great, with nice views of the harbor. I would definitely recommend a stay there!

Our room was one which did not have a private bathroom, which we did not love as we are quite covid cautious.

"Cute Inn/Beautiful Town"

10.0

We stayed in the Port Hole room at the Seaside Inn in Port Clyde and it was exactly as pictured - small but very cozy, comfy bed, nice bathroom, super clean. We were only there for a night but the location is perfect for quick visit. There is a market and restaurant directly across the street, along with the ferry to Monhegan Island. It's a great little spot to stay and just unwind. We would have liked to stay one more night...

"Bait and switch?"

6.0

I thought I had rented a place at Seaside Inn; however when we arrived, our room was actually in the Ocean Hotel, which I assume is owned by Seaside Inn. Our 3rd floor room at the 200 year old Ocean Hotel was very clean but we were hoping to stay at the Seaside Inn. Our room was very pricey. No ice or breakfast available. If you rent through Bookings, be sure to ask first which facility you have reserved.

"Weekend getaway"

The coast of Maine is always stunning, and this end of the peninsula hideaway is the perfect spot. One doesn't need to look beyond the this endearing village for excellent food, live music and picturesque walks.

"Great Getaway"

10.0

We were looking for a cozy, old inn, and this is exactly what we found! As Mainers who understand what Covid has done to our travel and service industries, we came with the expectation of a clean room right in the center of town, and that most likely there would be closures of restaurants and shops on the usual Monday and Tuesday in our coastal towns. We planned accordingly, and were pleasantly surprised that the General Store was available on all three days we were there. The cafe was not, but we managed. Our primary goals were hiking on Monhegan Island, visiting the Wyeth Gallery, and seeing the Marshall Point Lighthouse up close. We also took advantage of the museums on the peninsula and fabulous restaurants. Rather than dwelling on the negative impacts of our times, we thoroughly enjoyed what was provided and plan on visiting again. Linda Bean is to be commended for what she has accomplished in that area, and for that we are grateful. The Captain's Cabin room in which we stayed was lovely, with the usual amenities for this type of lodging. We only wish we could find out more of the history of the inn and its previous owners. I would recommend this inn to anyone!

"Great Location.... but not much else"

6.0

While there was nothing really bad about this inn, there was also nothing truly special. It was very pricey for just a room, and other than a Keurig Coffee machine in a sitting room across the hall , and a fridge in the room, there were no amenities. I realize that with Covid, and lack of adequate staff, I need to be understanding and flexible, but I find it annoying that there has been no price reduction even though the breakfast that used to be included in the room rental is no longer included, and there is essentially no maid service between check-in and check-out. Also, due mainly, I think, to a serious lack of help, most/all restaurants in town are closed on Mondays & Tuesdays. (The Dip Net is excellent. Try to make a reservation early though. )

"Great Location"

8.0

The Inn is in a great location if you want to watch the commercial fisherman and ferry boat, along with recreational boaters. It is also in a great location if you want to take the ferry to Monhegan Island. The Port Clyde General store just across the street. The store has a nice assortment of food, beverages, and misc. supplies. The store as has the Port Kitchen which is open for breakfast and lunch. Since the Inn does not offer breakfast we ate at the Port Kitchen and enjoyed it.
