"Beautiful Inn"

8.0

This is a very cute Inn in a wonderful location. The manager is not a people person and should never be allowed to interact with clients! The wonderful older lady that helped us the night we arrived went on vacation and the manager was not happy and was very rude to everyone that was there during our stay. The other guests were all complaining about her and the “handyman “. Both of them were rude. Other than those 2, we loved the Inn and the locals. We went to the Black Harpoon restaurant on the recommendation of a young lady that worked in the general store. It was the best! Much better food and atmosphere than the Dip Net, which was twice the price. The lobster was awesome so we act dinner there every day we could. We suggest getting a room with a private bath. One of the rooms downstairs has a TV.

"Well done staff!"

10.0

Awesome little seaside stay! Rooms were large and roomy. Ocean front with 2 great restaurants within walking distances but the best part was the staff. Each one of them were basically like tour guides. They had vast knowledge of the area and we’re welcome to share it with us. We had a great vacation and I accredit it to Mike, Kim and Veda! We didn’t feel like tourist, we felt like we belonged! I high recommend Seaside Inn in Amelia island!

"Off the beaten path serenity."

8.0

Beautiful. peaceful, oceanfront setting in very small, isolated Maine community. The innkeeper and staff were flexible and considerate. Sometimes communication was uncertain. I would stay here again in the future.

"Cozy and comfortable stay by the docks"

8.0

Wanting to extend our time in Maine to take advantage of opportunities beyond our rental house contract, we stayed for a few days on the first floor of this old sea captain's house. The room was not large but it was comfortable, quiet and the bathroom was clean and tidy. The only downside was the light coming into the room from the outside of the inn and the adjacent barn as well as from the hallway lighting. The barn is open from 4-7 pm on Thursday to Sunday. The town gathers there on Thursday nights. Upstairs in the barn is a nice, small art gallery featuring local artists. Across the street is an exceptional coffee shop called Squid Ink and the Dip Net Restaurant on the dock behind the General Store.

"Annual trek to Monheagan Island"

10.0

Location is everything. Walk across the street to food and the General Store. The ferry to Monheagan is a short walk. Love the gallery and the afternoon happy hours at the bar. Your car can remain parked at the Inn while you tour the Islands.

"Great location"

10.0

Only stayed one night in the Captions Quarters but it was very nice. Had an excellent meal at the restaurant across the street. Caught the ferry early the next morning. Annie provided great service. Would stay there again and highly recommend it.

"Clean, cozy, and right by the docks"

8.0

Port Clyde and Tenants Harbor are off the beaten path, but not far from Rockland. Seaside Inn was a cozy and clean spot to spend a couple of nights so we could explore the area one day and take the ferry out to Monhegan Island the next. Coffee and general store right across the street opens at 6am! A little restaurant adjacent to it is perfect for a cuppa chowda while looking out at the harbor. The Wyeth gallery upstairs was an unexpected bonus. The general store in Tenants Harbor had a good selection of everything, just a few miles up the road.

"Unexpected Evening Delight!"

10.0

We were travelling up to Rockland, Maine and all their B & B's were booked so without realizing it we wound up in Port Clyde staying at the Seaside Inn and it was our best find for our entire Maine trip. We liked it because the ferry does go to Monhegan Island about a 100 yards from the Inn and the hiccup of a town is perfect with a general store just across from the Seaside Inn (not it's not a B & B). That made our discovery more interesting as we could head over for a counter breakfast at the General Store. It was cozy, clean sheets, nice decor and we had a view... we only wished we could have stayed longer and spent the day on Monhegan. We also enjoyed walking around the spit out to the lighthouse and having dinner just across the way on the water with a beautiful sunset. So every night doesn't need to be planned, you might just find a jewel near the sea!

"A Lovely Stay, but know its an Inn, not a B&B"

10.0

It looks and feels like a B&B, but its a well appointed Inn that does not include breakfast. Not to worry, though, there are great breakfasts in the general store across the street. Port Clyde is the size of a postage stamp, so to find such a lovely, comfortable property was a pleasant surprise. Our room and bathroom had clearly been recently renovated. The linens were new, the bed comfortable, the bathroom large. The wifi was fast and worked the entire time we were there. Everything within Port Clyde was within walking distance.
