Old Brick Inn

We have been coming to St. Michaels and always stayed at OBI for at least 15+ years. So we know St. Michaels, know what we want to do, and are rarely in the room. This trip we were in Sweet Magnolia in Kemp House, which is on the 3rd floor and on the small side. Since we are rarely in the room, not a problem for us and enjoyed our stay for following reasons - staff as usual lovely and helpful, breakfast great, and centrally located to everything we love about staying in St. Michaels.

We are older than we used to be and carrying luggage up to 3rd floor was not easy - would suggest that in placing guests on 3rd floor you make it clear of 3rd floor status, as some people are "complainers" (we are not) and might be turned off. But room clean, beds comfy, so we were fine.

Very nice. We stayed in the Kemp House. Great location, plenty of parking.

The room was a little sparser than we anticipated.

Close to location of fedtival. Breakfast was good and service in dinning room was very good.

The bed was broken. The headboard was not properly attached to the bed. The pillows fell behind the bed. Room was small. Not worth $640 for the weekend stay. Covers and linen were thin. Cold at night.

Central location and the original old building are the best! The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good.

The only complaint would be the pillows.. over time they must have got really lumpy.

The property itself was beautiful. Tulips and spring flowers all in bloom. A couple of nice chairs to sit on the front porch. Parking around the back. But The room was below the acceptable standards I have for any hotel/motel room even budget ones. We paid $560 for a two night stay. There was no sink in the bathroom, if you can believe that!!! If you like the idea of having to leave the toilet and go out to your room entry room door to find the sink, then this is the place for you. The sink WAS inside the room, however if you were using the sink and your partner was trying to enter the room from the hallway, one of you would have to wait. There were no closets. You had to hang your clothes on hooks around the room. This was a totally uncomfortable room.

The entire staff was wonderful & the Inn was spotless. From the delicious hot breakfast that was included to the perfect location in town, our stay was perfect.
