White Horse Inn

I have stayed here many times, my favourite place to stay near chester. Its great value for money, comfortable and in a good location. We both enjoy hearing the church bell ringing in this very peaceful village.

Comfortable and spacious room. Perfect for me and my daughter. Great location for what we needed. Quiet, especially given we were near the beer garden. The mini fridge was perfect for us to bring a few bits to keep cold for our own use.

WiFi was a bit touch and go but we didn’t really need it so wasn’t an issue. Shower didn’t drain well so flooded a bit when we needed a shower. Think the electricity tripped in the bathroom as the light went out half way through the stay, but we didn’t bring this up with the staff so that was our issue really not theirs! Old building so a few spiders around the room which my daughter wasn’t a fan of but especially this time of year, couldn’t be helped!

The room was clean, well presented and comfortable. A lovely, peaceful spot. The breakfast (at extra cost) was wonderful.

I had been hoping to try a pint of the local beer in the pub itself, but none was available.

Fabulous stay, a very warm welcome, beautiful setting, and gorgeous spacious and comfy room with smart TV. Fantastic shower, lovely fluffy white bath towels and quality bed linen. Full English Breakfast was top quality locally sourced ingredients.

There isn't always pub food available, but we were pointed to the pub down the road (3-minute drive) and had a beautiful walk across the fields to get to it.
