Food, service superb!

Due to booking online (rather than phoning) we ended up in a room that allows dogs. Unfortunately there was an awful smell in the far corner of the room which wasn't pleasant. Informed reception who advised, in future phone through booking & request rooms upstairs where dogs aren't allowed. We have stayed twice previously with no problem.

The pub has been completely refurbished with 12 rooms and new outdoor seating areas. Couldn’t fault it

Lovely staff! Great breakfast. Nice modern room. Pub also had delicious food!

Only issue was the water temperature / pressure in the shower, one minute it was hot and next cold.

The Golden Lion is very comfortable, the breakfasts were excellent and the staff all very helpful and friendly. A good stay with no complaints.

The location was perfect bang in the village. Easy access to the coastal path. The food at the hotel was good as was the breakfast. The room was quite small but clean.

Hard pillows and lacking hooks to hang your things on.
