a great pub if you like proper good beer and really nice food. Rooms are conveniently outside the pub with your own access door from the beer garden. Added bonus if you play crown green bowls is the green behind the pub where visitors can play for £5 fee.

remember to shut the bedroom windown as the church chimes do go through the night

Emergency lighting in room , despite eye masks

It was a good breakfast with choice of dishes for the cooked breakfast. They were very helpful with my car parking difficulties.

A way of making fresh coffee in the room rather than instant would have been nice.

Staff very eager to help and the location is ideal for visiting the Yorkshire Dale's. attractions. Plenty of walks from Gargrave.and it is on the Pennine Way. Skipton, Settle, Bolton Abbey, Mallam, Kettlewell and Grassington are only a few miles away.

Lovely atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff. Room was great, beds very comfortable.

The chairs/table outside the room as others who had rooms sat outside early in the morning or late at night.

May be a minor point....but the green light on the smoke / fire detector unit on the ceiling was over bright and the whole room was bathed in a fairly bright green glow all night. I use a sleep mask so that blocked out most of the light but anyone not using a mask may have trouble sleeping with that light. It just needs a lower wattage bulb I think.
