The staff were very good. the food was good

The manager was rude and arrogant. One room was not ready-had not been cleaned or bed prepared. Manager wanted bar staff to do this work late in the evening. The people decided to get a room elsewhere because it was clear that the room would not be cleaned/prepared adequately in time. Next day when checking that the room was ready for the second night the manager argued that another room could have been available, even after the previous night he said none was. Also, when asked if a refund would be made for the night not used, he made a throwaway comment that he would deal later as payment was made through Expedia-obviously not true

Always a good location

So expensive for a very standard pub room with ensuite. For the cost would have expected at least a continental breakfast

Lovely historic building, but poorly maintained.

Booked and paid for two nights, only stayed for one. First room was nice however, the curtains/blinds couldn't close because the mobile air conditioning unit was ducted out through the window. So asked for another room. The second room was the same setup with the air conditioning unit out the window, However, was at the rear of the building so away from the streetlight directly outside the first room. But in the second room, the air conditioning did not work, windows didn't open so only had the ceiling fan above the bed. The shower was over the bath, the bath was cracked around the plug hole, and the sink taps were loose. No table or chairs to sit on at all. It was hot and stuffy, bad night's sleep, so packed up and left the next morning, as we wouldn't stay another night there.

for the price that I paid, the room didn't meet my expectations. no extra pillows or blankets, no microwave, no hand towel or face washer. no toiletries, no soup holder in shower area. no aircon in the room.
