The Club Hotel Collie

The location was good for us as we were racing at the speedway so a short drive to the track with small children. Was good for walks to the park and into the city centre.

It's a shame the hotel has been left to die. Would be a fantastic building to use. Looks like the new owners will be doing something with it. The room needed a big clean. So many cobwebs dirty dishes and lots of broken things. Hopefully she will be all nice and new soon.

The staff member who served us was really lovely and the sheets were clean. The beds were comfy and the en-suite in working order. Nice bar fridge was a bonus.

Coffee cups didn’t look clean. Many cobwebs, it looked as though no one had entered for a while with dust atop the aircon which I had to clean before using. No fly wire meant we weren’t keen to open the windows.

Tariff included continental breakfast supplies; comfortable bed; historic hotel.

Cramped room; no dinner available Monday nights except fast food at nearby roadhouse; breakfast kitchen too small to seat more than a couple of guests at a time; no TV reception; price a little high for standard accommodation in a rural town.
