Hotel Schladmingerhof

The hotel is modernly furnished and the staff very welcoming but be prepared to be told the house rules upon arrival. There is a good connection to the slopes by the local ski bus but it is also walkable without ski boots. The food is good but be prepared for not too many vegetables or over indulgent desserts although there is plenty to eat. Dinner finishes around 8 and after that the hotel offers a small bar. With just a small lounge, the hotel is ideal for those wanting an early night to hit the slopes refreshed in the morning. In conclusion the hotel is a nice, friendly, well kept, family hotel, ideal for those wanting a relaxing holiday but less suited to heavy party goers.

Refurbished in a contemporary style. Rooms on the small side but have a good en suite. Comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean. Good, hearty food. Bar prices ok. Service very good from friendly staff - but some knowledge of German useful! Ski bus stops outside or a 15 minute walk to main lift - leave skis/boots at lift depot or hire shop (free!) to save lots of hassle.

Very nice hotel close to the Planai ski center. Ski bus right in front of the hotel. Nice furnished rooms, great kitchen, excellent staff 😀👍 Parking and ski storage room for free, wellness center in house.

We stayed at this hotel for a week from Feb 10th 2018, staff were very friendly and helpful, food was very good, rooms are clean and warm, there was a party of 60 people staying at the hotel at the same time as us and they were always late for the evening meal ( really late, meals were 6pm to 7.30 pm and on one eve they turned up at 9pm ) this caused a lot of hassle for the staff, the only reason I'm writing this is if there is bad reviews from them you'd understand it wasn't the hotel's fault, overall a good stay and would definitely stay again. The location is a little on the edge of town but taxi's are cheap, about a 15 min walk to the gondola and bars and the ski busses are great so not a problem.

We’ve had a lovely stay at Schladmingerhof hotel. The hotel is located about 15 minutes walk from the gondola and has ski holding facilities. The hotel is affordable and the rooms are comfortable. Dinner is very nice and the family running the hotel are very accommodating (shout out maureena (Laura)). Really enjoyed skiing and staying here and would recommend to others!

I visited this hotel during school half term with my family. The family who runs the hotel made the stay amazing! They were all so friendly and happy to help you out with anything! Unfortunately we had a large party of other guests staying at the same time who were causing the staff a lot of stress, but the staff were fantastic in keeping professional and keeping us sheltered from the noise and commotion. Location was good, with regular busses (5 minutes) into town and a 10 Euro taxi in the evenings (around a 20 minute walk). Room was a standard size with everything you would need (including large television). My family had forgotten to request vegetarian food for myself but each night I was given an alternative dish! They seemed happy to accommodate for anything you would want with a guest, with very short notice. There is also a very nice bar at the hotel with a wide variety of drinks for all taste! Couldn’t fault the hotel or the family who runs it! We would visit again so I would recommend choosing this hotel :)

We have stayed at the Schldmingerhof for the last two years and once again had an excellent week. Management and staff are always friendly and happy to help. Breakfast and Evening Meal were always good. Rooms are modern and very clean. Will hopefully visit again next year.

We stayed with a large group of 80 People in the hotel and werd impressed by the Nice Rooms,good distance to the skilifts, heated skiroom. Ideal for groups. Good value for money. To recommend for those appreciating 'gemutlichkeit'

This is a good place for large groups or when skiing is the main focus. Skibus stops in front to take you to Planai in 10 minutes. Rooms are quite small but clean and comfortably renovated. Common areas could do with renovation. Breakfast and dinner are excellent; the bar is small but the bartender makes up for that by wearing a different special tie every day ! Friendly staff, children are welcome and have room to play.

We've been in this hotel last year and are coming back this year! We stayed in a spacious family room. The service was really nice! Very good cellar for the ski material. Lots of space for children to play. No bad comments at all!
