What I did enjoy was the island itself—Caye Caulker is truly beautiful, with a relaxed atmosphere and stunning surroundings. Additionally, the hostel staff were kind and welcoming, which made parts of the stay more pleasant despite the issues experienced at the hotel.

Our experience at this hotel in Caye Caulker was quite frustrating. From the beginning, there was a clear language barrier, which made communication with the staff very difficult. Unfortunately, their attitude was not understanding and at times even rude, which made the situation worse. Regarding the food service, it was very poor: the dishes were served cold and on several occasions were incomplete. This, combined with the lack of willingness to resolve issues, made the experience even more uncomfortable. Traveling with children requires a certain level of support and empathy from the hotel, but in this case, it was the opposite. The lack of cooperation from the staff made the stay especially challenging. I would not recommend it, especially for families.

The staff were so professional and helpful. We had an incident with a horrible crazy old lady in our dorm and they dealt with the issue so well. Good location.

I guess you pay for what you get, but the whole hotel needs renovating. The dorm mattress had metal poking me while I slept, I physically shaked when the person on the top bunk moved, shower pressure was like a drip. It was a very uncomfortable stay and I had a lot of sleepless nights. Also not their fault but the sargasm weeds stank like hot farts and eggs in the whole hotel, thank god the dorms are at the back but it still stank. Didn’t use the pool area once.

The staff was accommodating and lovely. the restaurant there is lovely too! Shower pressure is good. Decent price for last minute. Aircon is on all day so rooms stay coo! no stains on sheets.

Their toilets need a lot of help. constantly blocked, even after complaining twice about it, it still didn't flush. the seaweed smell is not their problem but should be warned in advance. being by the pool is almost impossible on this end of the island this time of year. nowhere else smells like this!!! we spent all our time at Bella's and had no smell. we booked 5 nights and our room didn't get cleaned until someone checked in and complained about their bed not being clean? it became pretty filthy. half the lockers didn't lock.
