Baku Hotel Ganja

Fantastic hotel in Ganja. We chose the Junior Suite and it was clean and comfortable, with a nice living room, so nice that we decided to have dinner there. We ordered food in the restaurant and the food was good and with a very reasonable price. The whore vibe and decoration of the hotel and restaurant is very nice, good breakfast too.

Our experience was very good, the only bad thing was that we needed an extra bed and the mattress with springs was very old and uncomfortable to sleep in. We were surprised that in such a nice hotel they didn't pay attention to this.

The hotel is very good. From outside you might miss it, as the reception is blended along the street shops. I took the junior suite which was very spacious. The toilets were big and up to date. The restaurant area was good. The staff were very helpful. They could use some English training, but tried their best to communicate and Wahid was the most helpful The location is right in the centre of the busy street. Wifi was excellent, which was also very surprising from my experiences in other hotels in the country. All in all , the room was unexpectedly the second best room I took un azerbaijan.

I booked the suite with balcony, and reaffirmed with the staff. However, they gave me without balcony because it wasn’t available they said. They didn’t reduce the price, which was slightly disappointing, but the staff tried their best to make my stay better. The curtains are difficult to close. And when closed, light still came from the gap between them and the wall. The room wasn’t pitch black to sleep. The minibar was empty when i took the room, so at check-out they asked me if i used it; which came to my surprise. But then they realized they forgot to refill it. The top shower head was broken, so when turned on, water sprays from above the glass door to the toilet area. I had to use the wall shower head.

The location of the hotel was great; close to shops, restaurants and within walking distance of places of interest. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast by the hotel was also good.

An unpleasant incident happened at this hotel. I had returned to my room and found the bathroom floor wet and a towel hung up. It was evident that the bathroom had been used. Also, one side of the bed had been slept in (ruffled sheets and head imprint on the pillow). I reported this to the reception and requested for an explanation. I was informed that another guest, who had mistaken my room to be his room, tried using the keycard which did not work (obviously). Instead of heading down to the reception, the guest had gotten a hotel staff to open the door of the room for him. The staff should not have opened the room door for that guest and the guest should have been sent to the reception. This incident did not make me feel safe staying at the hotel. The bathroom was cleaned up and the bedlinen was changed after that.

Location (although bit noisy if your room is on the street side). Clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. Wifi is strong, very reliable for video calls and working remotely. They accomdated our request to change room to a quiet one. Highly recommended.

The breakfast can be improved, they charge you for omelette if you want it with cheese and vegetables 😅 The street is very busy, if you book a room on the street, get some ear plugs.
