David Thompson Resort

The staff are phenomenal. Very kind and helpful; with reminders of when the restaurant closes that way I knew if I was arriving late, to pick up food as this is quite a remote location. Also very helpful that they had a convenience store; restaurant, and gas station since there was nothing else around. Loved that as late as I was, I was able to get my key card and checked in super fast. Accessing my key card was super easy. Location is absolutely phenomenal. It is good value for where it is located. It was also nice that the windows open so you have air flow. Can't beat the views; and the pancakes were delicious in the morning.

The beds are not comfortable. A small investment into new mattresses would be really nice. Double bagging the pillows with two pillow cases is also a better practice (touching bare pillow as the case slides off wasn't pleasant). A lamp instead of the white overhead lights would add to relaxing ambience. The walls are thinner, so go to bed earlier to not be woken up by guests running around if you are on the ground floor; or doors slamming shut. Or alarms going off because of the door not closing or key card not inside it's holder (still not sure how that works). The wifi was frustrating but we should all learn to put our phones away once in a while. Putting the key card in to operate the power in the room was a little confusing at first as I've never seen anything like that before, though imagine it's likely to conserve power being in such a remote area with limited resources.

Good location, beautiful view, restaurant close by with good food.

No fan in bathroom, but all in all very good accommodations

Great spot for breaking up the icefield parkway trip. Lovely staff, excellent restaurant on site. Room was warm and it was a quiet area. Enjoyed our stay there.

Bed was honestly a little worn out but OK.

I like the location.

The room doesn’t have any microwave oven, no hair dryer, no fan or air condition, washroom was so dirty and stuff was rude.

Convenient location, comfortable temperature, clean.

Significantly over priced, minimal in-room facilities, boiled water notice but no alternative available, erratic wifi, poor water pressure, main light came on at night and could not be turned off, disinterested staff.

Clean, comfortable and full service.

Older facilities but updated with exception of the toilet!

It's mote a motel than a resort. A bit noisy with the road just in front. Wifi working only by the checkin area.
