Hotel Brienzersee

So many things to admire. Right from the start, the warm welcome and assistance from Sylke was exceptional. Marc, the owner, is similarly really welcoming and helpful. The location, close to a bus stop and railway station, gives good access. The guest card gives free local transport and discounts on a lot of attractions. The view is sublime with a bar terrace and simple food in the evenings. Splendid inclusive breakfast. Room is a good size and spotlessly clean. The comfortable bed, good double/ triple glazing and quiet location means a good night's sleep. Very comprehensive guest info and extensive hotel TV channels available. Air cooling, though a little noisy, is effective at keeping room at a comfortable temperature in hot weather.

Hotel was great, especially if you want to get back into Interlaken, as you can go by train (hourly) or bus (every 30 mins) Very freindly staff, good breakfast and great view of the lake

Not much, however I did not like having to pay a 3 Euro charge for having just one drink, as we had not spent 20 euros. We loved the place, but having spent a lot to stay there, I think they could have afforded to let us have a drink without having to pay the additional fee - it just seems a bit petty. But I would not want this to put people off staying there. Just make sure you spend 20 euros in the bar!!

We stayed here for 4 nights. Excellent location just outside Interlaken, which is easily accessible by car, train, bus or boat. Rinngenberg itself is an interesting place to explore. The rooms have modern decor, are exceptionally clean and have wonderful views of Lake Brienz and the mountains beyond. There is a lovely terrasse where you can sit and enjoy a drink and a snack and take in the view. The buffet breakfast was extensive and very good quality. Marc the owner was a great host and he is assisted by a very friendly team.

The location is lovely, we had a gorgeous apartment facing the Brienz lake and the hotel location is brilliantly located a couple of moments away from the Ringgenberg train station and the Ringgenberg port (walking uphill with stairs). The views are outstanding. The interior of the apartment is beautifully designed, comfortable, clean, and spacious. Staff at the hotel was very kind and attentive. It was a pleasure to stay in this hotel. We would be back without hesitations! Final note, we were happy to choose Ringgenberg over Interlaken, it felt as well connected but way calmer and with more access to the breathtaking landscapes of the region.

It can be inferred from the list of services on the ad, but it is important to stress how inconvenient it was that the kitchen is not well equipped and kitchen appliances (oven and stove) are only for display and not functional. A kettle and a microwave work ok. Understandable that this is to maintain the top-notch facilities and to cater to the enjoyment of guests but this is especially critical when guests have eating restrictions, as Ringgenberg is not exactly plentiful of food options. The breakfast is alright not marvelous and can get repetitive.

Everything was great, the lake view, bed, A/C, food, etc. Special thanks to Marc and his team at the hotel, they are very welcoming and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay and definitely will come back again!
