Alpinhotel Bort

Location was stunning, room very clean and good size. The drive up is interesting and very steep in places so maybe park in the town. Staff great.

Unterkunft auf der Mittelstation mit einem wunderschönen Blick. Mit dem Auto abenteuerlich aber machbar erreichbar, oder ansonsten mit der Gondel. Preis-Leistung war für die Schweiz in Ordnung. Das Zimmer war klein und praktisch eingerichtet.

Der Abfluss im Bad hat etwas gemuffelt.

It was a beautiful location with great views . However , getting there by gondola was a hassle and an extra expense which was not clear when we booked

Access by gondola. Expensive and not clarified at the start . The walk from train station to gondola was also very steep and not very well sign posted. Arduous to do with luggage

My partner and I both agreed that this is the BEST hotel we have ever stayed in. We had the most BEAUTIFUL views ever of the Alps right at our window, and the hotel location is perfect being on the first stop of First Grindelwald. We could only take the gondola up to our hotel since it was winter and cars were not allowed, but that made our trip even more magical and fairytale-like! Keep in mind that in the winter, the gondola is closed around 4-5pm each day, so you're going to want to plan out your day to make sure you make it back to the hotel before the gondola closes. There are still things to do at the hotel after the gondola closes though, such as hiking, stargazing at night, and eating at the hotel restaurant (which was incredible!). Being on the first stop, Alpinhotel Bort really felt so exclusive and tranquil and like the perfect getaway. Please book this hotel, you will truly not regret it.

Amazing location, breathtaking views, clean comfortable room, friendly helpful staff. Situated next to the gondola which takes you even higher to spectacular views

There were a lot of flies but this can’t be helped because of the location

- Grindelwald Bort ist doch sehr überlaufen. - Leider sehr viele Fliegen im Restaurant und auf der Terrasse.
