Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Und auch das Zimmer mit Seeblick war wunderbar. Das Bett war bequem, habe da sehr gut geschlafen.

Das es im Zimmer kein WC gab. Aber das habe ich gewusst. Somit für mich ok.

Das Zimmer war ideal für meine Befürfnisse. Das Bett anständig gross und die Matratzenhärte war ein Volltreffer!! Und die Seesicht war noch das Tüpfelchen.

Frühstück erst ab 8.15 Uhr ist für Frühaufsteher und Wanderfreudige, die gerne früh starten viel zu spät. Aber auch kein Grund, das Hotel nicht zu wählen. Ich würde wieder buchen.

Ein Bett matratze war nicht gut. Zimmer war lange Zeit nicht gelüftet und Staub unterm Bett und Tisch war nicht sauber. Treppen im Flur waren Flecken. Uns wurde gesagt das wir unseren kleinen pudel bei Regenwetter im Arm tragen sollten. Damit die grau schwarzen Teppich auf den Treppen nicht schmutzig werden soll. Obwohl es schon Flecken waren. Beim Frühstück wurde jeden Morgen fertig gekochte bunte Ostereier auf dem kleinen Buffet serviert.

This hotel is a traditional Swiss building that looks a bit old, but in this village most hotels are in the same style. The location is fantastic – right by the lake with an absolutely stunning view. The hotel manager, Hans, is an elderly gentleman who is very kind and lovely. The only downside is that the price is a bit high, but it seems that all hotels in Brienz are like this in August. Overall, it was a wonderful trip and we were very happy with our stay in Brienz.

The hotel has its own parking, but it’s not possible to park there. Guests need to use nearby public parking areas instead, which are within about a 5-minute walk and cost around 10 CHF per day.
