Arvum Hotel Boutique

Everything was perfect. It’s a very new and beautiful hotel with spectacular views of the Piedra del Peñol. The hosts are super super friendly and the food in the restaurant was by far the best we have had in Colombia. The room was very comfortable as well, we enjoyed the jacuzzi outside on the terrace. Plenty of hot water so no worries there. We didn’t see any mosquitos by the way. It is very easy and cheap to get to Guatapé and back to the hotel with tuk tuk or Uber. Don’t look any further and just book this hotel, you will not be disappointed.

Perfect for couples Amazing view and the jacuzzi topped it off Food here was amazing both for breakfast and dinner. They cater to you and even bring the food up to your room. The staff here were incredibly helpful and kind. Any little questions we had, they were onto it asap. We had a very early flight and they were incredibly kind enough to have our breakfast sorted that morning. They provide reliable and quick transport to and from airport (recommended). I hope you all have the pleasure of meeting Felipe and his family when staying over at this gem of a place.

Having to leave

Arvum isn't just a hotel it feels like home. Felipe and his mother were amazing hosts. The rooms are well put together and have a great view of el penon. The restaurant at the hotel is delicious and fresh as the food is grown on the property. If you are looking to relax outside of the main city, Arvum is your spot. Felipe will coordinate taxis and other experiences in Guatape. I couldn't recommend this place more and cannot wait to visit again.

The hotel is located right on a ridgeline leading to stunning views across of El Penol and the valley below it. Minutes away from El Penol and the town of Guatape, it's an amazing place to stay in between exploring. Everything we ate & drank was absolutely spectacular. I loved that their breakfast was made to order, not stuff cooked in advance and left hot for customers. Their breakfast is absolutely amazing for how simple it is. Their dinner items are even more amazing. And don't even get me started about their dessert options. Everything no matter what you order tastes to fresh and good for you. Felipe was absolutely the best person we met during our entire trip to Colombia. He took care of whatever we needed to the best of his ability and made us feel like we were family. You'll honestly forget you're at a hotel and think you're just hanging out with family. This is probably one of the best experiences I've had traveling around the world so far.

The hotel is luxurious, cozy, and you feel as if you were in a typical Colombian farm all at once! The food is incredible and so is the service. Absolutely love dining with La piedra in the background. Will be coming back!

Everything. The hotel is beautiful and in a beautiful location. We had a view of the Penol and the Mountains. Felipe our host goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed! His mom too was super sweet and always made sure we were having a great time. The place is filled with peace and beauty. The food was amazing... everything we had from breakfast to dinner to drinks was delicious, fresh and so flavorful. Any activities you need planned Felipe can help. Our time in Arvum was filled with relaxation and fun and lots of great memories! Highly recommend.

That we couldn't stay longer.

We arrived at Arvum Boutique Hotel at dusk. The final 500 meters to the hotel are on a narrow, unpaved road, but our car had no issues. Felipe greeted us warmly and showed us to a fantastic room with three beds, where we spent two very comfortable nights. The hotel and room offer breathtaking views of the Piedra del Peñol and the lush Antioquian landscape, full of vibrant vegetation and birds, with the iconic rock visible in the distance. The breakfast at Arvum is à la carte and absolutely delicious, especially enjoyed in the restaurant with its spectacular view, surrounded by avocado trees and various birds. The food is incredibly fresh, with most ingredients sourced from the hotel’s own land. During our stay, we visited the Piedra del Peñol, reaching it in charming tuk-tuks. After climbing the 750 steps, we were rewarded with stunning views from the top. Felipe then suggested we visit the La Araña area on the road to San Rafael to explore hidden waterfalls and rivers. Thanks to his guidance, we discovered beautiful spots in the forest that we wouldn’t have found on our own. We also enjoyed an authentic Saturday afternoon in San Rafael, dining at a local restaurant Felipe recommended. Later, he took us to La Posada de las Aves for birdwatching, where we sipped delicious coffee in a garden filled with hummingbirds. After a day of adventure, we relaxed in our room’s giant jacuzzi. We had dinner at the hotel both nights, and the homemade food was delightful. Thank you Arvum !

Todo el hotel está en excelentes condiciones, es muy agradable llegar y ver los detalles y sobre todo la ubicación. Tienes de frente a la piedra del Peñol. Pero lo mejor de todo esto es el servicio que te da todo el personal en especial Felipe que nos atendió muy bien
