Iguana Libre

It is really near Domenical and Uvita without being in the tourist spot. In the middle of the nature but really comfortable and really nice people. You’ll have a cute dog and duck which will have an eye on you and love to cuddle. In the morning you’ll see monkeys and other wild animals.

The hosts are warm and friendly. This was our second stay and we brought our family this time. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. The breakfast with homemade bread! was delicious and very generous. This charming, rustic hotel nestled against a forested hill is delightful. Did l mention the very reasonable prices for a place so close to several nearby beaches. And for someone who enjoys reading at bedtime the bedside lamps were most appreciated.

We liked everything.

We loved the owners, Bettina & Roman. We loved the forest surrounding their property, a welcome cjange from the beaches we had stayed at before. The breakfast was fantastic with homemade rolls, butter and jam. We'll be back!

Very nice hosts. Super friendly. Breakfast was delicious and complete. They drove us to Dominical in the morning.

When we arrived, we thought there was a mistake as there are not too many signs of where the rooms are. Very very dark entrance. A bit far from Dominical

had such a great time in Iguana Libre, the breakfast, the pool, the clean room but more important- the wonderful hostess!!! definitely one of the highlights of our visit in Costa Rica

we loved everything

Comfortable beds. Room was very clean. This is an older hotel. It could use some sprucing-up. A bit over grown, but the jungle added to the appeal. Great birding, lots of morpho butterflies, even saw a pizote. The owners are what made the place so nice. (Young couple trying to make a go at life in CR.) They could not have been more accommodating! Breakfast (included) was delicious.

Iguana Libre is not a fancy, manicured property. We are not particular travelers. Booked on the fly. We were not disappointed.

Charming, clean and budget-friendly eco lodge about 5 mins from seaside village of Dominical. Nice pool in jungle setting. Fabulous breakfast (eggs, fresh fruit and juice, cereal, yogurt and homemade rolls) served where monkeys often play in the trees. Caring and thoughtful hosts strive to make your stay comfortable.

Wi-Fi could be stronger.
