Uvita Pirates Hostel

We loved our stay. The owner was the nicest and most welcoming. The room was very comfy and we had hot water in the shower. Location was great, close to the beach, nice restaurants and supermarket

Authentic Hostel de Piratas :) the hosts welcomed us very warm and friendly and invited us for a Pizza when we arrived. They were always very helpful and open to chat. On top they offered us to drive to the bank because it is a long walk to the cash machine. The kitchen was well equipped and very clean. Also our room was clean and had everything you needed. We had a nice short stay over there and would have stayed longer if we would have had more time. Thank you Piratas! :)

Super close to walk to the beach. The Dad and Son couple made the hostel a beautiful creative place. The rooms have air conditioning.

The host is hospitable and recommended places to eat and visit whilst we were there.

The standards of cleaning are not what they should be. We found that our towels had a bad odour like sweat as if they had not been cleaned. The bed covers also didn’t seem the cleanest smelling. Moreover, you could hear everything from the kitchen and lower room as there were just holes in the floorboards. We could not close/open the bathroom door as the bed frame was overlapping in front of it. Kitchen faculties were also not the best. All in all, the amount we paid (on the expensive side of all hostels we stayed at in costa rica) was definitely not equivalent to the quality.
