Perfect location very kind staff Happy all together

The bathroom was modern. The bedroom was a good size. The location is a about 7 minutes' walk to the entrance through the St. Michael's gate (at front). It is located near a restaurant (2 minutes' walk) - Le Navarre - for lunch and dinner options. There are also a few souvenir shops on the street. Most of the guests were French or Italian. The employees at the Front Desk were friendly. They also spoke English which was very helpful. Thank you for all that you do and did.

For the 3rd and 4th nights, the wifi stopped working from the bedroom. It worked well downstairs. I had a worrying incident on the 2nd day with a housekeeper. The housekeeper unlocked my door while I was standing next to it, so I quickly locked it back and said 'no.' She continued to unlock it, while I continued to lock it (yes, we were both locking and unlocking at the same time). She insisted she wanted to explain that my sign on the door was green. I repeated no and eventually opened the door slightly to explain no housekeeping (Red). It turned out that the sign was twisted (broken cardboard), so it turned to red after hanging on the door overnight. The next day, I got tape from the Front desk to strengthen the cardboard, so it stayed on red. It is unusual for a housekeeper to keep unlocking a door, while a guest continues to lock the door. It should have been evident that the guest did not want housekeeping. This incident occurred very early (about 8:30am) and I was barely awake, so it startled me as a security challenge.

No A/C in the room, but at least windows can be opened and many were opened in the property; breakfast was so-so

Ubicación perfecta. Personal muy correcto. Limpieza adecuada. Relación calidad-precio perfecta. Estuve en la planta 5, creo, y ningún problema de ruidos. Cama bien, descansé. Más pensión que hotel con servicios de pensión y precio de pensión.

Desayuno 6 € pero MUY escaso. Me alojé solo. Habitación correcta pero pequeña: por ejemplo, había una mesita con silla y la silla no se podía ni sacar de debajo de la mesa, porque tropezaba con la cama. Para una persona, bien. Para dos, muy justa.

The cleanliness! One of the cleanest hotels I have seen. Family owned with very friendly staff.

Limited breakfast options and coffee made in a automatic machine (not using real milk for the cappuccino/cafe au lait). Not what I expected from a hotel in France (where you usually get excellent coffee everywhere).

Le service de propreté a assuré les Recouches. Je ne m'y attendais pas.
