Ye Old Boote Inn

Stayed one night at short notice on the way to Snowdonia. This place is falling apart and unclean. The bathroom smelled a little on arrival but the stench grew in intensity though the night to the point where we were just gagging to get out. No shower, no breakfast - just leave. It was like spending the night in a stinking urinal. I understand times are tough but I feel it necessary to advise local environmental health as to the state of this place.

The room and bedding were clean; they looked and smelt clean

The service in the restaurant was poor; the church bells chimed all night. There was no fan or air conditioner and so you need the window open

Food and service were excellent and good value. Nice choice of drinks at the bar as well. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of towels in the room and good connection for the wifi. The TV had an excellent selection of stations and channels.

The location is at a very busy junction, so no need to set an alarm, because the traffic will wake you. However, nothing else as a downside from my perspctive.

Our room was very dirty which made us feel uncomfortable.

Everyone was lovely, the food was excellent, they even had a doggy menu. Plenty of parking. Very popular.
