Nice old pub

We were in room 1. When we arrived the staff had not put the heating on it was 1 degrees outside in winter and it was freezing in the room . I went to the bar and asked a member of staff to put the heating on and she looked at me like I was asking the earth! The room was right above the bar area. All night there was doors banging and barrels being changed. Loud voices. The staff and pub drinkers had a stay behind until gone 3am! we heard a lot of men drunk and being very loud until gone 3 am we didn’t get much sleep at all. The room definitely needs an upgrade on painting and furniture, the shower was very awkward because the shower head didn’t fit into the holder so you had to drop the head and get washed then rinse yourself and let it drop again. This Definitely needs looking at .

Food was very good and staff friendly.

A typical English country hotel, in an English village. Plenty of parking, some nice beers, good food.
