I loved the fact that everyone was so welcoming from Joan, the owner, Alison the bar lady and all the locals I met. Very warm, funny and so friendly. Helping me with where to get food and the directions. Chinese is down the road less than a 5 minute walk, little shop across the road that sells everything and pizza shop just up the road about 2 minutes walk. Bus stop right outside the pub to the centre, though I did not use this as I had a lift, but still, it's there if you need it. My room was really nice, warm and comfortable and catered for my needs. Complimentary tea, coffee etc including a little fridge freezer and microwave and cutlery and crockery. Bed was so comfortable. I would 100% stay there again and as a lone female I did not feel unsafe for one minute. The pub is a proper local pub with character. In three words, I loved it! No served breakfast available, however porridge and cereal left in room ice and milk left in fridge freezer along with a microwave if needed, iron & ironing board

Good budget accommodation above a local pub. Comfortable room with a fridge and a few breakfast provisions. Easy friendly check-in.
