Lovely setting and friendly staff

Nice location. Staff excellent. Room ok but had to be careful not to bump head on low slanting ceiling. Adjoining walls are thin so noise from other rooms

The whole experience was great. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

The room itself needs brighter lighting. Extremely difficult to see anything when sight impaired.

The staff were friendly and attentive. Very good breakfast, good restaurant menu and bar options. Comfortable beds.

The room would benefit from an armchair - there was plenty of room for it. Two of the cask beers were not available.

Location in proximity to visiting friends

Bed was particularly hard and as a consequence was very uncomfortable. Getting in and out of the bathroom was tricky for a couple of reasons. Firstly the bed was very close to the bathroom door so getting to door required a sideways shuffle. When you did get there and opened the bathroom door it missed catching the corner of the sink by millimetres, you had to be a contortionist to get in and out of there. All that said the room was clean and tidy if not a little tired looking and in need of a face lift. Staff were good and so was breakfast.

The Inn was cute and walkable to Kirkburton.

The staff could be more friendly, didn't get a "happy to see you" vibe from them.. kinda robotic in their explanations. NO ability to store luggage- we were early prior to check in and wanted to go out. "AT YOUR OWN RISK" they told us several times. Thought that was a very ODD....we came on train so we had no place to store it. We travel alot and we have NEVER been told that before.

Room was decent size and layout for the price. Large TV that pulls out and angles towards the bed. Good clothes hanging area and good lighting. All staff I met were friendly and helpful

Tv didnt work- only bbc 1 and 2 were tuned. There was no number to call and the guide book told me to go to the bar for assistance, which I opted not to do during busy evening service. Room had black mould and grime around edges in the bathroom and window. Stains and splashes up the wall and carpet in the bedroom. Needs a proper clean. Food was pretty bad- had a £20 burger that was so dry and tough I left it. Chips were good though. Cheesecake too was dry and tasted awful so again left it. Waitress could see that I'd left majority of the food but didn't ask or offer anything else. Breakfast was ok.
