Breakfast was good and staff were very welcoming. Dinning area was ok as was dinner.

Twin room was awful, shower not clean, beds were very soft and noisey. Linen was clean but room needs a new carpet and en-suite needs gutted, wallpaper was peeling from wall, room so small, would be better as a single

Although small the room was very comfortable with aview across a meadow with ctatle and sheep. As much tea and coffee as we wanted. Only a shower but that was fine. A generous car park The welcome was warm and staff were really helpful, informative and happy. The beer was good too. Very handy for a stroll along the Shropshire Union Canal, A bus directly into Chester City Centre from outside the pub The decor was very Arts and Crafts. Loved the lamp shades. The food was extremely good. The breakfast choice was limited but more than sufficient. The hangover cure breakfast bap was superb. We enjoyed dinner on both evenings. Overall and excellent inn and value for money. Little Moreton Hall was only a short drive away as well

The pub was set in a good location and had a lovely garden at the back. Plenty of parking with disabled space next to the hotel side entrance. The menu had a wide range to choose from and the portions generous. The young staff were excellent, especially Lucy who was very attentive and efficient.

The room was small but clean. The decor was very shabby, mostly wallpapered and this was peeling away at the sides on most walls and the carpets dingy. The bathroom shower needed a total update.

The food and staff were lovely

The mattress on the bed was very soft
