It was a bit quirky, slightly faded Victorian elegance. We booked a superior room which was smallish but clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly.

It took a while to get hot water.

Warm lovely fire roaring in the hearth as we walked in. Lovely clean room. Nice friendly staff. Our breakfast was lovely as was our evening meal.

The bathroom was very small but it wasn’t a big problem. The water took a long time to heat but to be honest I’m being picky.
