The Inn on the Moor Hotel

The staff were very friendly and courteous and made us feel welcome. The food was excellent, catering for all types of diet. Bonus was being greeted by sheep in the garden.

Our room was quite basic but comfortable and didn't have a view which was a shame. However we booked late so we accepted that it was our fault and it didn't spoil our time here as we were out most of the time.

The staff were lovely, professional and genuinely very welcoming. The room was very comfortable and had a great shower and comfy bed. The lounge area was relaxing, and the food was plentiful and good quality. We would definitely return for a stay.

Very comfortable, bright, spacious and newly refurbished super king room. Lovely modern bathroom. Ample wardrobe space and a fridge. All spotlessly clean. All staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were superb; all served to us at the table and freshly prepared. Great location close to the station and the heart of the village.

I didn’t enjoy my choice of evening meal (although my husband and friends enjoyed their, different, choices) But after a quiet word with our lovely waitress the issue was resolved immediately without any fuss.

This was the first time we had stayed at this hotel and I must say we found it fantastic. Communication was great so when we arrived we knew we could park there early. When we entered the hotel, it felt cozy and comfortable straight away. The lady on reception Cathy checked us in. She was really friendly and showed us up to our room which was a good size and spotlessly clean. It is a dog friendly hotel and they supplied plenty of treats during our stay which Nellie enjoyed. We would definitely stay here again. The hotel is in a prime position in Goathland near to the train station and shops. We enjoyed the walks and will definitely go back again. The food was spot on. A good choice to choose from and the breakfast had something to please everyone. All the staff were friendly and helpful and made our short stay perfect.

There's not much not to like. But when we go again we would probably ask if we could have a room with a view. But that's me just being picky.

It has a lovely friendly vibe around the hotel with very helpful staff. It’s the second time we’ve stayed and the hotel are constantly improving their rooms etc. it really is a great hotel with good food ( large portions 😂). Good location too, especially for the steam train. Well worth a visit!

Beautifully presented with lots of choice

Sehr großes Zimmer und modernes Bad. Super bequemes Bett, freundliches Personal, sehr gutes Frühstück und Abendessen. Sehr ruhige Lage in entzückendem Dorf an Bahnstation in den Moors.

Tischreservierung für das Abendessen, sollte für Hotelgäste eigentlich unproblematisch sein. Staubflusen durch Ventilator im Bad.

Great location, everything in the room appeared to have been very recently refurbished. Bathroom particularly good. Bed was very comfortable also. Lovely meal in the restaurant. All in all, very well looked after during our short stay.
