Property Notes

Our restaurant is open from 12pm-3pm 5:30pm-8:30pm (Last Sitting). We have a Full menu available Monday – Saturday ranging from your classic dishes to grills and lighter options. Pre – Booking is advised. A Sunday Roast menu is available from 12pm-7:30pm – pre-booking is required. Breakfast is served in our Palm Bar from 7am-9am (Monday – Friday) and 8am-10am (Saturday/Sundays/Bank Holidays) Afternoon Tea is available on preorder 24 hours in advance – please contact the hotel for more information Please be aware, a purpose built accommodations block houses the bedrooms which is adjacent to the main Lydiard House building. On occasions there may be evening functions held at the property during your stay such as a wedding. Please contact the venue for further information. Early check-in is sometimes available at an extra cost of GBP 20. Late check-out is sometimes available up to 12:00 noon at an extra cost of GBP 20. Please check with the property directly for availability. Please note that although there is no accommodations charge for young children, there will be a breakfast charge. For Lydiard House Hotel & Conference Center could guests please use the Hay Lane, Grange Park entrance to Lydiard Park. The conference center car park will be signposted which is located just past the Church.Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian. A deposit may be required at the property.

The location is excellent with the extensive parkland right next to the hotel. The breakfast/dining area is spacious, light and airy. Some of the staff were very friendly. There was easy parking nearby. Pre-arrival communication was very good.

My elderly mother wanted a sandwich rather than dinner on the 2nd night. We were told no, we don't do sandwiches in the evening. We found this surprisingly inflexible - they could at least have offered her a bread roll or some toast, surely? Despite letting the hotel know in advance that I was gluten free, they had no gluten free bread available at breakfast. There were no hairdryers in the rooms (although apparently you could ask for one at Reception). The bedrooms were pretty small so after the first day it started to feel cramped. The smoke detectors were positioned directly above the beds and they flashed intermittently all night so an eye mask was needed.

Clean and comfortable. Very helpful staff. Provided a secure place for us to store our bicycles.

Breakfast was good value but the Hollandaise Sauce was far too much and spoiled the dish. Small point overall.

Double bed I’m not so sure it was. Tv didn’t work bathroom mirror not working. Bed light not working. WiFi not working. Mattress was solid.

"Very good value hotel in a beautiful setting."

Pleasant, functional room with spotless bathroom and comforable beds. Location is gorgeous right next to Lydiard House and set in the country park.

Somewhere (a shelf) to put toiletries when in the shower.
