Friendly staff, good breakfast.

This pub was a real friendly pub without pretension of being anything other than a good local pub, with great food and beer

The room could of done with a deep clean, the bedding and towels were perfectly clean, it was just a bit dust in places, but don't let this put you of the positives definitely out weight this negative.

The staff were very helpful and efficient. Breakfast was very good. I've stayed here 2 or 3 times now and have no complaints at all.

Shower could do with some mould removal

Very friendly and welcoming staff who were flexible regarding specific requests. Everything about the hotel was explained as we were shown our rooms. Location of fire exits and evacuation point. This information was also provided in laminated sheets within the room. The room was equipped with a kettle and tea and coffee. Everything in the bedroom was very clean, including the sheets and towels. All of the fixtures and fittings in the shower room were spotless, with the minor exception of the shower sealant. As my friends and I were only staying for one night we opted to eat in the hotel. The menu was traditional pub fare. Hot, well presented food and a charming waitress, who sought the answers to our questions regarding the menu.

The sealant around the shower had seen better days. Given the quality of the rest of the room amenities I was slightly surprised about this, as it would only take a short while to replace this. ( I appreciate that they have more than one room and also that the room might be unavailable for a short while)

The location in the centre of Horncastle bed was comfy. Staff very friendly and carried bags up tp room.

There was black mould in the bathroom and it felt generally grubby in the bathroom and in need of maintenance .Furniture old and tired apart from the bed.Breakfast poorly presented . No yoghurts as advertised. Fruit was on the turn and cereals limited range. Table was sticky . Decaff tea undrinkable. Staff do their best.

The hotel was perfecting located close to the centre of the town. The breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful. All the staff I met from the lady on arrival who was extremely busy serving at the bar, to the breakfast chef, were friendly, welcoming and helpful.
